CONSIDERING EMPLOYERS 4ND MEN.
CONFERENCE OF OFFICERS AT HAMILTON.
| A conference of officers attached to | the Defence forces of the Auckland area is at present sitting in Hamilton, to finally arrange the boundaries, and to distribute the men. All the men are at present classified, and the 'duty of the conference is to post them as conveniently as possible, to the advantage of the' men their employers and the Department. The work is very complcated, and will take some days to complete. When a final adjustment has been made the 'boundaries decided on will be drawn up in map form and submitted to head-quarters. The officers at present en gag©:! in conference are Lieut. Burgess, Capts. King and Knutsford, Mountad Rifles, Capt. Mickle R.N.Z.A., present on behalf of the 'battery to be formed in Hamilton, Capt. Hawkins, officer jo charge' of the No. 1 group, C a pt. Morton, officer in charge of the No. 2 group, Capt. Matthews, staff officer of the Senior Cadets of the province, and Lieut. Dyer, representing the Medical Corps.
