A NAVAL BOYCOTT
JAPANESE CHILDREN IN 'FRISCO. TOKIO, November l!». A Japanese squadron is visiting Honolulu in February. It does not proceed to San Francisco owing to the overwrought condition of public feeling there in connection with the schools dispute. WASHINGTON, December 10. Mi Metcalfe, Minister of Commerce, whose report was submitted to Congress, shows that only 03 Japanese children are attending schools in San Francisco. They are clean, bright and well behaved. they are scattered all over the city, it is impossible for them to attend single schools. Mr Metcalfe claims that the Japanese are entitled to the fullest protection and the highest consideration.
