Th j Chairman explained that this work had entailed considerable expense, bat it bad to be done; and if they cultivated and fenced the lane near Salthurst he felt certain that it would produce revenue. This meant that the lands formerly occupied by Messrs Richardson and Medhurst, which were leased at £2O % 10d per annum now brought £55 10s; an increase of £34 10s 2d per annum. He further reported having let the eastern end of the Lake Reserve at £ll per annum, an advance ot £1 on what it made the previous year.— The Chairman's action was approved and endorsed, the Board considering he had done excellently in adding such a sum to the revenue.

The Cambridge Bowling Club wrote asking for a donation of JB7 10« from the Hoard, to enable certain alterations to be made to the pavilion and to put on an extra supply of water—The [.Chairman thought they should assist the Bowhng Club if possible, for it took it all its time to meet the expense and upkeep of the greens. At date the Board had a credit balance of iUU 3s 7d in the bank, with practioaliy no liabilities, and there were rents due whioh would bring np tfc#it funds to £l5O, Carried. The matter of stealing Sowers from the Domain was brought L3fore the Board, and tbe caretakers were aurthorißed to endeavour to convict the cuipits. Complaints worn received of the manner in whioh young men scorched round the Domain on bicycles. Several ladies had been kaocked down and a child bad been injured.—The Board thought it was a great pity that any should be debarred from enjoying a quite ride on a bioycle in the Domain, but tbe privilege had been abused and the only way to remedy it was to restrict tha privilege to ladies; and "a motion to that effect was aooordingly carried.—ln future any boya or men riding bicycles in the Domain will Le prosecuted.—This is the result of the work of a few hoodlums acd boys who appear to be unable to behave themselves when granted privileges.
