POLAR EXPLORATION.
LIEUT. PEARY'S MISSION. NEW YORK, December 10. Lieutenant Peary, in the course of a lecture here, said he was convinced of the existence of land about IUO miles north-west of Grant Land. He found an open polar sea and driftwood, apparently from a river traversing some unmapped land.
