TAMAHERE ROAD BOARD.

1 he usual monthly meeting of the Taniv uere Road Board was held yesteray in the Vlatangi Hall, Mitangi. Present: Messrs Kwen (chairman), Ramsay, Whewel, Jewell and Furze. Mr E. Goodwin applied for permission to fix telephone poles on the road from Hinton's Gully to the boundary fence. T e application was granted. Mr Goodwin also asked that he might be allowed to eact a temporary fenoe on the roadjline whilst removing gorse. This request was also granted.

Mr Robert H. Cowley offered £5 per acie fur a piece of road which he wished to bu\. The road was two chains wide and he wished to make it one chain wide. It was resolved that the matter be left in the hands of the Chairman lo report i>t the next mieting.

It was resolved that Mr William Baker, jtinr., of Malangi, be notified that as he hus turned water on to the Hoieka road hi must take steps to carry it off.

The Eoad board's share of the Government subsidy amounted to £S7 7s 3d. The balance - sheet was adopted and signed. Acoounts for the Wa.ik.ito Times 8s Qd and W. I. Conradi £6 ss, were passed for payment. '1 his was all the business.
