At the Supreme Court George Phillips, on two charges, one of indecent assault and another of committing an unnatural offence was sentenced to 7 and 10 years' respectively, the terms to be concurrent.
DUNEDIN, this day. Walter Henry Mitchell, William McPherson and Patrick Oppertuch were convicted at the Supreme Court on a charge of playing a confidence trick, whereby they eased a country resident of a sum of money. They were sentenced by Judge Cooper, to five years' imprisonment each.
