TARANAKI OIL WELLS.
OUTBURST FROM BIRTHDAY WELL. (By Tkleghaph.—Pkess Association) NEW PLYMOUTH, last night. The oil in the Taranaki Petroleum Coy.'s Birthday well again burst out on Sunday morning, and was only controlled with great difficulty after about '2O barrels had escaped. The directors are considering a proposal to construct a large tank to relieve the pressure. No. 2 bore is now down to nearly 1700 feet. The boring plant for the Bonithon property is expected on Tuesday.
