TOO MUCH WATER.
DUNEDIN, November 14. Mr H. Widdowson, S.M., gave judgment in a case in which the licensee of the Universal Hotel had been charged with (selling whisky mixed with water with intent to fraudulently increase the bulk. After referring to Professor Black's evidence that it was easy in breaking down whisky to inadvettently reduce its strength below deg., his Worship said he was not satisfied that fraudulent intent bad been proved, und lie dismissed the case.
