MONTGOMERY'S ENTERTAINERS.
Of Mr W, H. Montgomery, who will make his first appearance here on Wednesday night next, a Worth Island exchange says i —" iha vucal treat of the evening was the singing of Mr W. H. Montgomery, who hag just arrived from England. He is the possessor of a rich baritone voice of great couip sB, and has it under full control. His tirat selection on Saturday night was "In * the Shade of the Palm," from Leslie Stuart's opera Fiorodora. It was very tastefully rendered, and was encored, when Mr Montgomery sang "The Bandolero," another of Leslie Stuart's composition's. This was sung with dramatio force, the singer's experience on the operatic stage enabling him to do full juatioe to the song. The audience recognised that they had before them a singer of unusual merit, and as the last notes of the song had rung through the hall there was a hearty outburst o{ enthusiastic appl iuse," A very fine and varied collection of entirely new series ol animated pictures will be exhibited and a number cf new illustrated and humorous songs will be contributed.
