CHURCH AND STATE.
SEQUESTRATION OF FRENCH CHURCH PROPERTY. PARIS, November 5. M. Biiand, French Minister of Public Instruction, intei viewed, stated that two thousand churches would become the property of the State, though the Church would be allowed free use of them for worship. Sixteen million pounds worth of church property would be sequestrated, and the interest used to maintain the religious edifices.
