SOCIALISM IN ENGLAND.
KEIR HARDIE'S ALTERNATIVE. LONDON, November 5. Mr Keir Hardie, speaking at Edinburgh, said if the House of Commons refused to discuss socialism an armed revolution and general strikes would be the alternative. He frequently met and admired socialists who were prepared to risk everything to realise their ideals, and were quite prepared to appeal to the nation.
