THE PfiEMIEU APPROACHED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGiOiN, This Day. Today some proposals were submitted to the Premier by Captain Walker, representative of the Marconi Wireless Telegrapny Company. " Wo aro prepared to erect stations around the cjjsg of .N'e.v Zealand at the expense and work them tor the Government, for au annual subsidy," said CapUm Waiter to a Post reporter. ''There icould be tentative arrangements for so many years to see how the tiling would succeed. Thai id practically what I am propobing to the Government. As far as Australia is concerned a similar suggestiou was received rather favourably." Asked if a similar experiment might be tried in New Zealand similar to the recent one between 'jueenscliffe, near .Melbourne Hevonporc, (iasmania), Capt. Walker aaid he would hte one made, but there was the question of expeuse. He would recommend that the apparatus at the places uientioned should be shifted to Wellington and Christchurcn, but he did not think laid directors would agree to this ourae without a guarantee that the project would eventually be taken over by the Government. However, he would have a small installation at the Christchurcn Exhibition.
