WAIKATO A. AND P. ASSOCIATION

A meeting of the executive committee of the above was held at the Old Borough Chambers, Hamilton, this morning. Present : Messrs, J. Barusjh, President, in the chair, Hawkins, A. ball, M. G. Farrer and A. H. Waring,

C Allen wrote thanking the general committee for the honour done lnm in appointing him a member of the executive, but stating that, owing to being so much of his time in Auckland, be would be unable to accept the position.— Mr T. Hinton wrote accepting office on the executive.— Mr S. Knight, on behalf of tho No-License Council of Waikato, wrote asking for aa interview with tbn executive committee.—Resolved that the Chairmen ot both bodios meet and discuss the poinfci, at issue.

International E\uiBiTioN.—'The letter sent to other local bodies and associations from the Cauibri itc" Commerce as to haviag the Waikato represented was read.—The Chairman and Mr Bell explained what had been done at the preliminary meeting of delegates held in the Town Hall, Hamilton,—Resolved that tho association do everything in its power to assist in the matter, and that the President, Messrs J. Gordon aud Waring represent the Association.

New Members. The following new members were elected : Messrs M. McCarthy, It. Welsh, W. Patereon, F. Seifert, H. Coop, T. Woatherille. Finance.—This matter was discussed in committee and the following resolutions passed, '■ (1) That the Secretary be instructed to notify all members of the Waikato A. and P. Association of the intention to hold a general meeting of authorising a loan, selling part of the property, and electing trustees. (2, 1 That tin executive recommend that the loan be raised on the bush and on the Association's property on the western side of the bush with the exception of Wheatinan's section, and that the land on the eastern side of the bush and Wheatman's section be exempt from the present mortgage. (3) That the executive advise that the freehold property of the Association bp vested in truitoes for the present. ' Left sitting.]
