From Oik Own Correspondent. A Farmers' I'nion meeting was held at Matamata in the Hail. There was a good attendance, and live new members were elected. It w>:s deci led to disci • next meeting the subject of an accommodation paddock on the Se'wyn Estate, for cattle gointf to and from sales. Also at next meeting, one member has been asked to give hid experience an potato growing with different manures. On July sth, three members are going to give their experience on tuvnip growing. The young men met at Waharoa to tix a place to hold the usual football games. Mr Johnston's paddock not being available, Mr Holloway kindly gave the use of his, which was ac( ?pted, The recently appointed home missionary, Mr Kichards, made his first visit yesterday, preaching at Walton, Matamata and 0+ Wabaroa to full houses, and he was well liked.
