Mr John F. Sheridon and his comnany will open at thy Hamilton Town Hall tonight, and there has been a large booking of seats. The opening production will he !'h« the Girl" which is by Seymour Hicks, music by Ivan Caryll, and the lyrics by Percy Green bank, who are also t' h e authors of " I' ho Orchid, " lately produced by Mr J. C. Williamson's Opera Cocopiny. It is full of melody and humorous incidents. v; r Sheridan will come in for the bulk of the work. He will represent the character of .Jim Cheexe. a dog trainwr, and the bogus Larl. Next in rank to Mr Sheridan, will C' lne the dainty actress. Miss Hoha Barlow, who is a great favourite, and will sustain hn character of Lizi Shoddaui, Jilu's liHart. A fine chorus and ballet included, and an operatic orchestra has bean specially engaged. The box plan is open at Paul's Book Arcade, where day sale tickets can be secured. Popular prices of is, 3s and 2s will be charged. To-morrow, the second and last night of the season, Mr Sheridan will stage the celebrated musical play, " Fun on the Bristol,' with his world-famed j impersonation of "The Widow O'Brien."
