♦ There was beautiful weather and a good attendance for the first meeting of the South Auckland Rifle Association, held on Monday and yesterday at Paeroa. Several Waikato competitors took part. Atkinson, A.M.R. £2 10s ... 58 Pvt. Tobin, Victoria R £2 ... ... 58 Lt. Edgecumbe, No. 2, W.M.R. =£l 10s 58 Sergt. Bruce, of the No. 3 Waikatos, was among the prize-winners with a score of 53. THE TYRO. Col. Sergt. Andrews, No. 1 O.R.V. 30s 47 Corp. Ogden, No. 1 O.R.V. 20s ... 42 Sergt. Bruce and Corpl. Simpson (No. 3 Waikato M.K.) made 40 and 39 respectively. NURSERY MATCH. Pvt. Hill, No. 1 O.R.V. £1 10s ... 43 Pvt. Davis, No. 3 O.R.V. £1 43 Private Little (Hurtly Rifles) and Mr Keep (Hamilton) each put up 41.
