Tasman is a dark brown horse with black points, very muscular and compact big flat bone, with good feet; shows great strength all over combined with quality ; splendid mover, and temper everything that can be desired. While on the turf he was a most consistent performer. He sported silk on 61 different occasions, winning no less than 31 events, ran 14 seconds 5 thirds, and 11 times unplaced. The value of the stakes won by him amounted to the large sum of £5500, and he left the turf as sound as the day he was foaled. A horse that could go through the amount of work he did without breaking down Bbould leave us what we'want—everyday Horses.
