THE CZAR'S HEALTH.
(by electric telkgraph.-copyright,) Petersburg, October 22. THE Czar lost thirty-two pounds weight in ten clays, He ordered a telegram to be sent to the Princess Dolgorouki to the effect that his condition was weak, but that he hoped to recover,
The public was taken by surprise by the bulletin announcing the desperate condition of the Czar.
The secrecy observed and the rigid censorship maintained over the press have given rise to a rumour that the Czar is really dead, but it is not generally believed. October 23. Princess Alix has arrived at Livudia, and it is reported that her marriage to the 'Czarewitch will be celebrated on Wednesday. There is great excitement in Moscow owing to rumours which are current that the Czarewitch refuses to ascend the throne. The Czar it is said is hastening the marriage, with a view to compel hii son to abandon the idea of inundation of the throne. The Imperial Council advise that the second son, Grand Duke George, should renounce his rights as heir presumptive in .favour of "his brother, the Grand Duke Michael. '
The Czarina is thoroughly prostrated.
The only bulletin issued to-day states that the Czar slept intermits ently for five hours; that he rose with his usual appetite, but his strength is decreasing, Otherwise his condition is riot, changed, Daily prayers are offered up in every church in Russia, and also by the army and navy. Later reports from Moscow state that the rumours about the Czarawitch and Prince George are not believed.
Paws, October 22. M. Plourens does not anticipate that the Czar's death will weaken the relations between Prance and Eussia. but he considers it must modify tne general situation. The Czarewitch having always been closely associated with his father has an intimate knowof the entire diplomacy followed by him, and will continue his policy.
