His stock are very superior, being very easily broken and grand workers. His sire and dim were two of the best and purest Clydesdales ever imported to New Zealand. When on the turf Raglan proved himself a thorough honest horse and first-class stayer, able to last to the end of a Cup race, carrying weight and defeating the best horses in Auckland.
