(BY ELECTRIC TELEGRArH.—CO I'Y RIGHT). Melbourne, September 12. A. DISPUTE between the Government and Capt. Whitney, Ins resulted in the closing of tlie Colonial Ammunition Factory. The Government imported a million rounds recently, and consequently the demand within the next few months will be insufficient to keep the factory going. A.i>ki..\i !>]■:, September 12. The Government of New South Wales has requested the Government of South Australia to facilitate the movements of the police sent to Broken Hill. The Minister, however, declined, adopting a policy of strict neutrality. Probably this act of discourtesy towards a friendly Government will be ventilated in the Assembly. A contractor, named Baxter, is unable to obtain men at a Broken Ilil and has gone to Melbourne to bring irpjhis own men. Biiisuank, September 11. Perritt who was arrested on suspicion of being a Kussinn spy has obtained (he expenses caused by his arrest fiom the Government.
