Thk social lipid in Trinity Presbyterian Clmnli lift Wednesday, in aid of the manse repairing fund, was a most enjoyable one ; the attendance, however, was not as largo as was expected, the building being oi-.ly faiily tilled. As we predicted, the refreshments were Al, and far exceeded the usual run of comestibles provided on such (occasions. They were given by Mesdurnes Hugh Ferguson and John Hally, who are both " past masters " in the culinary art. Musical items were given at intervals, the songs of Mrs Chas. Hunter and Alva M. Ferguson being undoubtedly the best, but the organ voluntaries were also well executed. The following was the programme :—Organ voluntary, Miss Archer; solo and chorus, " Let the Saviour in/' Miss A. Evans and choir ; song, " Ora Pro Nubia,'' Mrs C. Hunter ; trio from the Mountain Maidens," Misses Evans, Young and Archer ; add res-, Rov. W.
hvans ; organ voluntary. Miss Anderson ; chorus, "O that I had wings,' choir; soup, " The Bonny Hills of Scotland,"' Mrs IL Ferguson ; duct from the " Mountain Maidens,"' Misses Evans and Archer ; song, " Consider the Lilies,"' Mrs Kimimmds ; chorus, " Hallelujah for the Cross," choir. The meeting terminated with the singing of the Doxology.
