ITJLI.Ii u:\.vyj \j uuumu. BY KLECTHIO TKLKOKAPH. —COPYBIOHT.) London*, August 31. Tue correspondence between the Premier ani Mr Labouehere, respecting the latter's exclusion from the Ministry, is published. The tone is courteous on both sides. There is little new in it, except that Mr Gladstone declares Mr Labouehere never asked for office. Mr Labouehere, commenting in Truth on the dispute dclares that it is due to the Queen alone that he was not officially asked to take office. Many newspapers and many of Mr Labouchere's colleagues, and members of the Liberal clubs, condemn his attitude. In his paper, Truth, Mr Labouehere comments on the correspondence between Mr Gladstone and himself respecting his exclusion from the Ministry. He declares the Queen has no right to interfere with Mr Gladstone in his choice of colleagues, and says his ostracism is dne to the action by him regarding Royal grants, and Her Majesty's disapproval of Truth's genial banter 011 her relatives. The article oxpressess great admiration for the Queen's usual constitutional fairness, the excellence of her private life, and her preferring quasi-privaey to Royal pomp for the benefit of a little lot of people constituting themselves so called society. He declares Her Majesty wroto to Lord Rosebery during the Marquis of Salisbury's Premiership urging him to asoept a a seat in the Cabinet as Foreign Secretary under Mr Gladstone. London, September 1. The Times characterises the Labouehere correspondence as humbug merely designed to provide spicev " copy " for his paper. 'l'he Standard says there is nothing in it to warrant the inference that Mr Labouehere exclusion was due to the Queen andjhints it is a pity that Mr Gladstone shuffles instead of properly stating that he did not want Mr Labouehere in the Ministry, i "■
