MR GLADSTONE.
A NARROW ESCAPE. (bt w.kctric tkleoraph.—copyright). London, September 1. A wild heifer entered Hhwarden Purk while Mr Gladstone was walking bene.! tli the trees. The beast cliargcd tli'; Premier, knocked him down and trampled on him. Fortunately, the animal's horns were turned, and so prevented it from goring Mr Gladstone, who managed to escape and take refuge behind a tree. He was much shaken, but not seriously hurt. The heifer then made off and afterwards attacked another man, but finally it wan shot.
