SITUATION GRAVE. INCREASE OF TROOPS IN LIVERPOOL. (]3Y ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYBIGHT). London, March 17. Ik consequence of the riotous behaviour of those on strike in Liverpool, an additional 500 troops went there, as it is believed the situation is grave. The rioters upset a load of grain driven by a non-Union man, and stabbed the carter. The mounted police were called out and dispersed the mob. The Liverpool strikers stoned the police constables during the riot which occurred there yesterday. Owing to the Liverpool strike many shipments of goods for Ani> tralia have been transferred to Hull.
