* (BY TELEGRAPH OWN CORRESPONDENT.) Auckland, Last Night. Mr Stannos Jones, an old identity in Auckland, has arrived by the Tarawera on a visit to Auckland, where ho still owns a lot of property. Her Majesty's cruiser Opal leaves our waters for the last time to-inorrow morning, homeward bound for Plymouth via Sydney. She will weigh anchor about 10 a.m. Mrs Pearson to-day secured a divorce from her husband, Frank Pearson or Herald, an actor, on the grounds of desertion and adultery. Pearson was formerly ;i clerk in the South British Insurance Office, Auckland.
