SHIRE DISTRICT. RE-HOISTING OF BRITISH FLAG. (BY ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT). Durban, March 10. Mr Buchanan, British Consul, has rehoisted the British flag, proclaiming British rule in the Shire district. Lisbon, March 18. Major Pinto has been instructed to proceed to Mossamades, a Portuguese colony 170 miles south of Benguelu, West Africa. There is great exoitement over the rehcisting of the British flag at Shire in the Zambesi country.
