SIR GEO. GREY IN THE SOUTH. [BY TELEGRAPH.-PRESS ASSOCIATION] Invercargill, Thursday.
Despite the short notice given, Sir George Grey's meeting to-night was very largely ascended, the theatre being crammed. The speaker's subject was the nationalisation of the land, which he dealt with on the lines of his Auckland address. Sir George received an attentive hearing, and at the close of the meeting a cordial vote of thanks for the address, proposed by Mr Joyce, M.H.R., was heartily accorded.
