KIHIKIHI.

A Foor race for £20 a side took place hero on Saturday, between Julian and Craig, the distance uflb 300 yards, over ten flights of hurdles 3ft (5m high. There was a. good number of pc >ple preseut to witness tlie e\ent. Tlie men were sent off to a good start by Mr Super at about half-past three, both jumping the hurdles together. When about half the distance w.it. run Craig came a little to the front, and bonic thought he was going to beat Julian, but the latter s-oon pulled up lost gronud. Both were now doing their very best, and taking the jump-, iii .splendid style ; the last hurdle was jumped .simultaneously, but when within three or four yards of the tape Craig tripped and fell heavily, and of course was out of it. He was very much exhausted.
