KOPUA.
To many render tliis will be known as one of the m.uiy nii^ion.uy stations. It is situated in the upp°r Waipi district and presided over for «o m my ye;ir« by the Rev. A. Reid. It is one of th<» mo?t fertile districts of the Waipa, and in former years Urge quantities of wheat, tn»ize and potatoes found their way to the Auckland market. The Government are about i< establish a native school here, the Weslayan body having kindly granted the use of a piece of land for the purpose. The natives are now very anxious to put their land through the court, so that soon this will become a very important district, extending aa it does to Hikurangi to the Kawhia harbour. The road from the Kawa station to Kawhia passes through the block. Mr John Ormsby, together with tome of his brothers, resides here. — (Own Correspondent.)
