The Regatta. Auckland, Friday Night. Thk day was miserably wet. The most exciting event was the whaleboat race, and ended as follows: — Waitemata, 1; Hauraki, 2.
North Shore Races. The North Shore races were postponed.
New Zealand Timber Company. The New Zealand Timber Company declared a dividend of 10 per cent.
Eight Hours' Demonstration. The Eight Hours' Demonstration took place to-day. The procession was much more pretentious than last year, but the steady downpour of rain damped the proceedings.
