Londox, July 1. The cricket match at Sheffield, the Australians v. the Players of England, was resumed to day, m the presence of an enormous number of spectators, and with fine weather. The Australians, with three wickets down for 65 runs, continued their first innings, which closed for a total of 189. The principal scorer? were : Murdoch, b, 25 ; Bonner, c, 70 ; and Palmer, not out, 28. The home team then commenced their second innings, and scored 87 runs, with two wickets down, befoie play ceased for the day. Barlow was caught for 2S, and Hall for 59. The wicket to-day was rather bumpy. Blackham was hurt during the game, and was compelled to retire. July 2.
