The annual meeting of hou-.eholdeis in this district, foi the puipose of electing pew>ns to serve as a school committee for the ensuing year, was held at the Ruapuke schoolroom on the 28th mst. It was well attended, and Mi William Jolmstone occupied the chair. — The balance-sheet for the past yeai, ha\ mg been u\ul, wa-> adopted. The annual lepoit was also given to the meeting, and approved of. In it the late committee complained of the mannei in winch the Cential Boaid had behaved to them dining then teim of office, -with legaid to seveial matters which had tianspnod between them. They weie stiongly of opinion that in many ways their pnvilcgc-5 had been usmped, and that implementations made by them to th.it body had not leceived fan consideiation. A series of lesolutions on the subject, intended for tiansmission to the boaid had been dioAvn up, and would be submitted to the meeting.
