SCHOOL COMMITTEE MATTERS AT PUKERIMU.

A few dayB ago it looked as if the excitement and interest which prevailed over the election of school committees at Hamilton and Cambridge wab pre\alent throughout the entire district, as in almost every other centre where a school evisted the meeting was well attended, and the election strongly contested by what, in homo cises, proved to 1)0 factions or parties interested in school matter-,, either of a private or public nature. The board then appointed three commissioners to conduct the aff.ms of the school, and though annual meetings have been called ever since, a quorum has never yet been got together. There is smely something veiy discreditable about this ; something, to s.iy the least, which the settlers cannot be proud of. We sineciely hope that the mooting on the evening of the 28th inst. M'lll be well attended, as, if a quorum is not present the boaid will once more be under the necessity of Appointing another body of commissioners.
