[BY ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, Thursday. Ar the Wesleyan Conference to-day the question of Church propeity occupied the attention of the Conference. The report of the Rev. John Ciump was read and adopted. Buildings costing £8500 have been erected during the year, and debts amounting to £2400 have beeu lemoved. The diatrict .secretaries of property were thanked and re-appointed, also the Rev. J. Crump as Register of Deeds. The President ot the Conference reported that the following amounts had been promised to the church building and loan fund: —Auckland, £2217 fls; Wanganui, £780 10s ; Wellington. £784 4a ; Oanteibury, £2378 Is ; Otago. £555 2s. The districts of Nelson and Weitland have yet to be visited. The hearty thanks of the Conference were presented to the President for hK valuable services as Geneial Secretaiy of the Loan Fund, and he was re-appoiuted together with the Central Church Committee. Twelve gifts of church sites were reported from several districts. A public meeting for the ordination of three young probationers for the ministry was held last night in the Wesleyan Chuch. The secretary presented to the president the Revs. Brook, Griffin, and Dukes, and they weie oidained by imposition of hands. There was a large congeration present, and the charge was preached by Rev, A. Reid, of Auckland, who selected " Holiness" as his theme, and the peculiar fitness of the Methodist Church organisation to spread Scriptual hohneso through the land. Friday. _ The Wcsleyan Conference has been in committee dm ing the greater part of today, upon the subject of the Home Mi-.->iun. During the last year the income has been £34X2 6s lOd, and the expenditure £2553 17s «Sd. The Rev. A. Reid and Mr F. L. Pi line were thanked for their services during the past year, and were re-ap-pointed. Balance-sheets in connection with all the properties were read by MessisHobb-5 and Ueorpe. A grant was made to enable the Rev. Mr dittos t<> travel among the Maoris of the northern districts. Cambridge andPatea distiicts were re-appointed to the confei cuce as having fallen short of amount required for mission funds. The »ecietary of the conference reported that a donation of £300 had been bequeathed to the fund, payable next year.
