(Recehed December 10, 12.15 p.m. Mm.nouKN'i:. December 10. Arrived, yesterday morning : The steamship Rotomahana from the Bluff. The Intercolonial Convention, which concluded its sitting at Sydney on Saturday last, is regarded hove as a great success. A grand banquet will be given tonight, at the Houses of Parliament, to the delegates of the various colonies, which are now in Melbourne. Mr Service, Premier, is the host. The various resolutions proposed by Mr Whitaker and, others, and agreed to in Convention, are being transmitted to the Imperial Secretary of State for the Colonies by telegraph. Sydney, December 10. A sculling match took place on Saturday between Beech and Triokett, when the former was victorious. The time was very fast. Lord Roscberry was entertained at a banquet on Saturday. Replying to a toast of his health, Lord U'jaeberry ex-" pressed admit ation of the Australian colonies and their ptospects.
