Intelligence has been ' received ' here that the Apache Indians have taken lip armsiand raided the white settlements in New Mexico and Arizona territories, and have massacred fifty Europeans. The Apache threaten to annihilate the 1 settlers, and; the Government have despatched a 1 strong body of troops to the latter's assistance. , St. Petersburg, March 31. It has transpired that the police succeeded to-day in surprising a ' Nihilist rendezvous where a large number of the members of a secret society were assembled. A severe struggle took place. , but ultimately eight persons were arrested, one of whom, however, committed suicide while in the hands of the police. A quantity ot dynamite was also seized on the premises.
