Svdxey, Yesterday. Arrived yesterday morning : Wakatipii from Wellington. The machineiy of the Austral has been found to be but little injured by the long immersion, and only requires cleaning to be again in proper working order.
Melbourne, Yesterday. The Victorian revenue returns to 31st March have beeu published. They show that the total teceipta for the March quarter amounted to £1,493,000, a decrease of £18,000 as compared with the same quarter of last year. Tin; falling off is chiefly in the excise and land revenues. The revenue for the year ended 31st March is £5,031,000, an inciense of £8,800, or a net inoieasp of £4, 100 in the fust nine months of the financial year ended 30th June.
Adelaide, Yesterday. The South Australian revenue for the quarter amounts to £579,000, an increase of -CSOO as compared with the same. qiMiter ISS2. The revenue for the nine months ended 31st March was C 1.578,000,. 578,000, a decicase of £14(5,000 as compared with the same peiiod in 18S1 82. The falling oft is chiefly in land revenue, due to the bad season
