At the Durham Yaids on Friday, about an average number was entered, but scarcely as many changed hinds as on the previous week ; bidding, except for hrst-class hacks and useful active draught horses, being slow. We quote — hacks, from £7 10s to £18; light harness, from £14 to £21, 10s . medium draught, £21 to £30. Hides and Skins — At the Durham Yards on Tuesday, hides and skins were plentiful, and sold at a marked improvement on former prices — Hides fiom 4^d to 4^d; skins, from is id to 2s 7d. Cattle — The supply of both dairy cows and fat cattle was considerably below lequiremcnts, and consequently prices hive ruled much better than of late. At Newmarket on Tuesday, the supply was not up to the average; dairy cows were in good demand, and realised an advance on last week's quotations."
