Dunedin, Tuesday.
A two-roomed cottage, occupied by a mason named Rogers, was burned down to-night. The furniture was insured for £30 in the Liverpool, London, and Globe. The house is said to be insured in the New Zealand, but the amount could not be ascertained. The Bible-in-Sohools Association has received sixty-three replies from schools to their circular, showing 303 persons representing 817 children opposed to Bible-reading 1 , and 1679 parents, representing G916 children attending school, in favour of its introduction.
