ALEXANDRA.
Our Sunday-school picnic to-day was a complete success. The Band assisted, and played in the evening for the dance. Great praise is due to the ladies who provided the refreshments, especially to the young lady who catered for the amusements. The Alexandra and Tuhikaramea schools had a cricket match, the first match which has been played here for some time, the return match with the Cambridge O.C. not having come off yet. Considerable surprise has been expressed here at the information which appeared in Saturday's Waikato Times that the Cambridge C.C. had arranged about a County match without consulting others quite as much concerned as them. — [Occasional Correspondent, Mar. 19.]
