My present stay among you is necessarily short, but it is impossible to pay even the most hurried visit to your city without being ' struck by its rapid deveiopement and the activity of industry which pervades it, or without deriving from the fact the fullest conviction that no temporary oheok can seriously retard the progress of this colony."
