THAMES CATTLE MARKET. Grahamstown, Thursday.
Messrs lUs-ks and Co.'s Wki'kly Report.— Our sale was well attended at Parawai on Thursday. The bids of a few outside purchasers were taken with pleasure. The number of cattle ) arded was large, in addition to a draft of prime thiee and four-jear-old steers from Mr Larkwortliy's station at Waitoa. A numbcrof locallj'fed oven and cows were offered, some being of large si/e. Although, with very little exception, the quality was good, the depression in price prevailing throughout the province was experienced. Ueef ot .ill clasics was fiom 2S to 2s 6d per loolbs lower than late sales. The sheep pens were again filled from the Hikutai.i farm (mixed sexes), and not quite so good as last week, consequently they -suffered a decline of 6d to gd per headi 'Lambs, to arrive, were Sold at 4d per lb. dead weight. Prices : Best beef, 22s 6d per xoolbs, inferior from 20s ; mutton, 2d per lb.
