WAIPA COUNTY COUNCIL.

The Waipa County Council held the ov. dinary monthly meeting at the Chambers Oliaupo, on Tuesday December, 14th 1880 Present : Councillars Jtiadf 0' d, CunningRoche, Buttle, Steel and Aubin (Chairman) the following business being 1 got throitgh. The minutes of last meeting were raad aad confirmed, and the outward correspondence read and approved. The Pukekura JJoad Board applied for order to sellroals closed in then District, the clerk was ordered to prepare the certificates. The persons applied to having accepted the duties of licgistrar under "The Registration .Act" the Club was directclto alvertiso their names and get then supplied with the necessary foims and collars without delay. The Wairoa County Council s?ne copies of two resolutions of th it body on the nutter of ''Landed Endowment" and " Waste Land Boards'' to which the Council agreed. A tender was received from Mr f». Peat for dog -collars at 8d each, which the Council accepted. Tenders were also opened for services as clerk, etc., viz. — James Wells, £2-1 ; N. T. Maunder, £30. The Council decided to accept the tender of N. T. Maunder. Cr. Steele brought forward a motion to graut £100 for metalliug the road through Ohaupo, which was lost by ± votes against 3. Cr. Roche proposed "That the funds at the disposal of the Council be distributed pro raid among the several Koad Boards" As an amendment, Cr. Steele proposed " That any funds in hand be retained for the present. " The amendment was carried. Payments to the amount of £13 were made and the Council rose.
