rpENDERS, endorsed "Tender for X Earth Work," addressed to the Chairman, Kirikiriroa Highway Board, Hamilton East, will be received up to noon, on WEDNESDAY, the 6th day of January next, for about 3000 yards Earth Work, more or less. „ Members of the Board will meet Contractors on the Hamilton- Hokonui road, near Rumney's, on Wednesday, the 15th instant, at 11 a.m:, to show thework. Tenders.

HHENDERS are required for Tenders X Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, and 12. No. 8. Road from Morrinsville to Richmond. This contract comprises 2 bridges, and 7 culverts, from 3ft to 18 inches, besides pipe drains, outfalls, side drains, cuttings, &c, &c, and extends over six miles in length. No. 9. Painting the bridges over the Piako river (2), Waitoa, Piakoiti, Topihaehae (2), and Waitakaruru Creeks — 1 in all. No. 10. Cuttings on the Gorge road. No. 11. Ploughing, clearing, and levelling main road between Waitoa and Pirauniu streams, about 80 chains. No. 12. Carting- about 800 yards of earth on to road to the diggings near Thames river. Tenders are to be in by noon of Saturday, the 18th inst., (the time for No. 8 Contract being extended from the 4th to the 18th mat., addressed " The Chairman Waitoa Highway Board, Morrinsville." T3OROUGH OF HAMILTON. Notice of Proposal to take Land for the purpose of Making the Approach on the West Side to the Hamilton Cart Bridge.

Notice is hereby given that it is proposed under the provisions of "the " Public "Works Act, 1876" and its Amending Acts, to execute a certain Public work to wit, the construction of the Approach on the West side the River to the Hamilton Cart Bridge at Richmond-street, Hamilton West, in the County of Waipa Provincial District of Auckland, and for the purpose of such Public Work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Council Chambers, Victoria-street, Hamilton AVest, and is there open for inspection. And notice is hereby given that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said lands shall if thdyhave any well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land set forth the same in writing, and serve such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Hamilton Borough Council. Schedule. All that piece or parcel of land being part of Allotment No. 60, Hamilton West, County Waipa, in the Provincial District of Auckland, containing by admeasurement Twenty Perches more or less, bounded Northerly by Richmond - street Three Hundred and Scvcny Links, and Southerly and South-easterly bv lines Three Hundred and Five Links and Eighty-five Links respectively, or therecbouts.
