COMING-OF-AGE PARTY.
On Friday evening a dance was held in More’s Hall given by Mr and Mrs £. B. Patrick to celebrate the coming-of-ge of their daughter, Mary. The music was supplied by H. Cook (piano), Miss M. Nicolson' (violin) and 1. Mitchell (saxophone). After 12 o’clock before the ceremony of cutting the cake, Mr Patrick briefly welcomed the guests, and after presenting a key to his daughter announced irer engagement to" Mr Douglas Fallow, eldest son of Mr and Mrs J.’ Fallow, of L’hornbury. Messrs A. Patrick and R- Harper (Dunedin) then rendered a duet, tod Rev Mr Macfarlane in proposing the toast of the young lady’s health referred to her in eulogistic terms, her uncle, Mr John Wilson (Dunedin)., suitably replying on her behalf. The Rev Mi 1 Macfarlane then pro posed the toast of Mr and Mrs Patrick, and the cake was cut with duo ceremony.
