ENGINEER’S REPORT,
The Engineer reported as follows: Since last meeting the weather has been seasonable, but apart from ordinary surfacing, very little outside work has been done.
.The contractor for the Thornbury bridge expects to finish the piledriving this week, but owing to the balance of the timber n o t coming to hand until next month, the completion of this will be delayed. In the meantime the Waicoe creek bridge will be built, th e whole of the material for which is now there.
The laying off of the various construction works in the County is now under way, and these works will be pushed ou as well as the weather and time will allow.
The new McCormack-Deering Booth Mac power grader for the Orepuki and Pourakino ridings has come t 0 hand, and is now at Thornbury having a hood fitted.
