—Warden's Court.—

W. Lonneker made application for a resid&nce site. A similar application for the same area was made by A. Nichol.—After ' hearing evidence both amplications were refused.

T. Meikle was' charged with having an unregistered rifle in his possession. —Defendant stated that it was purchased in 1919, and as he lived 33 milevs in the baekblocks he had! been unable tc get it registered. Fined 10/-.

A prohibition order was issued asrainst A. Nicholas.

For hems jdrunk whilst in charge of a team of horses at Tuatapere Arthur Cribb was fined £2 and 10/costs.

' —Juvenile Court.— At a sitting of the Juvenile Court a boy was charged with the theft of a watch from the tent of T. J. Hughes.—The case was adjourned for six months, the lad to pay 13/4 costs. RIVERTON, TUESDAY, FEBY. 7. —Warden's Court.— L. A. Nicderer—application to prospect for coal, Gorge Road, Oteramika. —Granted, j • —Police Court.— A maintenance order by conseut was made against. Wm. Herriot for £2 3s 4d per month towards .support of his. illegitimate child. He waslikewise ord'ered to pay £l2 12s, nursing expenses, and £2 2s costs. —Civil Court.— The case of T. L .Wilson v. Jellyman and Shadforth was adjourned lor, Magistrate's decision. I>. McGregor v. Catherine Ryan, claim for £2 13s 7d.—Aujourned till next court day to enable plaintiff to produce his lodger.

D. TueGrogor v. Peeler Taylor, claim £3 TGs for goods. -Mr Hunter appeared / for defendant, who disclaimed liability and plaintiff was non-suited.
