BAND NOTES.

The Band will meet for practice,on Thursday night this week at 8.301 sharp. A full muster is desired, as now music will be rehearsed in view of Easter engagements. Some of the new numbers are: Selection " Verdi," march "Punjaub," valse "Luna," fantasia, "England." The selection, "Knight Errant," played by the Band at the concert on Friday evening met with the approval of the large audience, so much so that it will spur the Band on to tackle other selections of even ibetter class.

The Riverton Orchestra was in good form also on Friday night, the gem of their items being " I Love You So," from " Chu Chin Chow," and sung by Miss A. Nuttall. The aceoimipaniment by full orchestra, was just as required. Mr L. Dew, tenor singer, from Wellington, was a great succests. The Tuatapere Pipe Band] played several selections in good spirit, and looked: well in their new uniform's!

Mr and Mrs Stevens made a. great hit with their humorous sketch, "A Sister to Assist 'Er.''

The "Royal Entertainers" concluded a long programme in good style, their various numbers going with a swing.
