OHAI RAILWAY BOARD.

Mr Crawford reported that the Chairman had arranged for a special train, for ballasting, so that the work would proceed without intermission when started. The Engineer reported that platelaying was completed by the contractor to the Wairio bridge, and that the line was available for ballast at once. It was resolved . that Mr Crawford and the Engineer complete arrangements for railage of ballast without delay. The Engineer reported that fencing of the line was well on towards completion, and that the Board could do with all the fencing droppers on order. The Manager .reported satisfactory arrangements with the Postal Department for the carriage of mails to Moretown, and also recomineiidtd extension of siding accommodation and increased water supply.—These matters were referred to the Engineer to report upon. ■ „ It was resolved that the Chairman, interview the Railway authorities regarding the supply of sheepi and) cattle trucks for traffic on the Mossbank line.
