OTAUTAU SALEYARDS CO.

The annual general meeting was held in the Board Room on, Friday evening, there being present: Messrs Win. Walker (Chairman), Wm. Buick, Jno. Fisher, A. O. Mills, A. Macaulay, W. Donnan, Q. Burnett, H. Trossidor and W. J. Wesney (secretary). The Chairman complimented the company on its sound financial position. The report read as follows; —The yard dues show a small decline on the previous year’s working. Through representation made to the Invercargill Stock Agents Association, we are this season to have regular fortnightly stock sales, which mean a decided increase in the business put through our yards for the coming season. During the year alterations, repairs and additions wore carried out at the yards, including extensive additions to the concrete races. Your Directors again recommend that a dividend of 10 per cent, be paid) on all paid-up shares. Messrs Walker and Lindsay were re-elected Directors. Mr Jno. Fisher was re-appointed Auditor. It was decided to make a recommendation to the Directors that some more cattle pens be erected and that some of the sheep pens be re-gravelled. A vote of thanks bo the chair terminated the meeting.
